I am going to pray for Miley Cyrus's salvation every day, until she comes to know Jesus as Lord and Savior of her life. As a Christian, I am grieved in my heart and compelled to pray and intercede for Miley Cyrus. She is lost--ever sliding deeper into a flaming pit of mental illness, demonic activity and depravity.
We all know by news reports what Miley is saying and doing, which leads many to hate and wish for her destruction. Some even laugh at her unbelievable, filthy expliots. But I know the Lord Jesus is saying, "Pray for her; intercede for her. She is a lamb that has wandered far from the fold. She needs the love of the Good Shepherd. She needs to be rescued."
Pray for Miley.
And pray for her lost father, Billy Ray, for he has encouraged her to take this road, to exploit the filth for riches and fame. As the world displays more and more depravity, it is for us to realize the snatching away ofr Christians must be very close, even at the door.
Perhaps she is not the one that needs your prayers.
Exactly. If she “finds god” it will be because there is a money angle.

Pray also for Britney Spears. While I am gratified that she did not win my “Dead by 30” pool, she has two young sons depending on her.
Praying for the lost everywhere but especially in our “Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.”

I'm with Alex - why devote more prayer to saving Miley Cyrus than, say, any of the many dissolute and depraved people in your own extended family?
At least in the case of family members, you could top that off with actual works of charity (e.g., attempting to persuade them to "mend their ways").

And how does it follow, if someone is praying for somebody they don’t know personally, it means that they can’t (or aren’t) praying for and ministering to, other people including those in their own families? Why does it have to be either or? How long would it take to pray for Miley Cyrus once a day, a whole 2 or 3 minutes?

Christians are to pray for the lost, it is indeed good to pray for individuals and not simply turn away and ignore.
WE ARE to pray in truth and faith believing God hears and answers our prayers according to His will..

Thank you both for sharing that. Several years ago while driving to work and listening to the radio the idea came to me that I need to be praying for one of the members of a popular rock group. It seemed pretty nutty to me, but I’ve been doing it and will continue.
MC had a chance to be a huge star and a role model for young girls, a la Katy Perry. She choose the opposite direction.

I will pray for her as well. I watched her an awful lot during my daughter’s Hannah Montana period.
