well, here are four from the New Testament:

John 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

Revelation 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

I think Jesus' words in the book of Mark spell out the chronology of events quite succinctly and unambiguously. There will be a "snatching up" (rapture), but it happens near the end, just before Christ appears.

Mar 13:18 And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

Mar 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

Mar 13:20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Mar 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:

Mar 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Mar 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. /I>

Mar: 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Mar 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

Mar 13:29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

Mar 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Mar 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Mar 13:34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Mar 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Mar 13:36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.

Mar 13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

There is not one speck of scripture that permits a pretrib rapture.

Did this Rabbi become a Christian...? Did this Rabbi ever acknowledge that Yeshua was Messiah, Christ come in the flesh? It is important based on 1John4. If this rabbi never accepted Christ then his prophecy is suspect, even if it remains accurate in some respects...it’s intrinsic message will lead away from Christ.

Those in Christ are caught up into Christ on his way down to earth with the believers in heaven. They receive new resurrected bodies, first the dead in Christ (those coming down with Christ) and then the believers still on earth. The new resurrected bodies are for earth... a 1000 year reign of Christ on earth before the judgement.

To all you pre-trib rapture people. Why are believers given new resurrected bodies in the air, to only be sent back to heaven? New resurrected bodies are for here on earth not heaven. We who belong to Christ who have not already died will see part of or all of the great tribulation....then Jesus Christ will return and we will receive new resurrected bodies and Jesus’ millennium kingdom will begin as satan and demons will be bound for a 1000 years.

You’ll need to cite your sources. I’ve got plenty to refute that.

I notice people who believe in your Post-Trib view NEVER quote scripture. Those of us who do believe in Pre-Trib have plenty of scripture.

So...your proof?

I’ve laid out mine in the thread.

Now gentlemen...both of you are on record as believing that Christ has come in the flesh as per 1John4. So other than having disagreements about the timing of end times events...why don’t both stop calling each other devils therebye making Satan’s work easier for him?

Funny you say that—the more I read (& study Prophecy) the more the PreTrib Rapture makes sense.

Lot was bailed out before Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed.
Noah & his 7 family members were saved before the Lord destroyed the world via flood.

And Christ’s Church will be removed before His final seven year judgement on a rebellious and satanic world.

Why would you make the case for Lot & Noah to be any different than the Church?

Noah and Lot were saved from the wrath of God. The trials of the first part of the tribulation are the wrath of man. God has often allowed His people to suffer horrific persecution from evil rulers; we see that even today. It is a fallen and cursed world.

When God begins to pour out His wrath, then His followers will be spared. Whether that is by a rapture or divine protection on earth, I don’t know.

The theology of the Tribulation is relatively new. John Nelson Darby was the main originator during the first half of the 19th century. It spread to the US with the Scofield Reference Bible.

Do you imagine that God has only information for Christians during the Church Age, or can He also speak to Rabbi’s of the Jewish people, to prepare them for what is coming during the Tribulation period when The Church is no longer here? Have you heard of Rabbi Kaduri? He, as afr as Jewish folks say, did not become a ‘Christian’ as we would define it. But he left a message to his followers giving the name of the coming Messiah ... he identified Jesus the suffering Messiah would be coming soon as the Conquering Messiah.

Judah ben Samuel was the Rabbi we were talking about... not Kaduri.(I have heard of Kaduri but I don’t know much about what he prophesied,{something about Sharon and his stroke related to his giving Israel’s land away to hamas} and if he was 100 per cent accurate in everything he predicted!)

1John4 says “test the spirits”, if the receiver of such”messages” is not Christian you have to suspect the message.

Lots of folks get “messages” all the time, even with a high degree of accuracy(ie Nostradamus, Casey, ect...but they are not all 100 per cent accurate all the time) Christ said that we won’t be given any dates though we can know the season of his coming(as in the days of Noah).

1John4 provides the only reliable test that Christians can use to assess the reliability of any teaching, doctrine or prophecy given by “the spirits”. Any prophet of God must be 100 per cent accurate!

Paul was addressed by Jesus directly! The bible says of the only time a prophet came back to speak to some-one, it went badly for King Saul who had him summoned!

If Kaduri, late in life had had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ(as in a Nicodemus experience), then his later prophecies occurring at the time will be born out!

Kaduri is an interesting study. You might enjoy a Youtube search for his statement he asked be sealed up until Sharon died.

Using Kaballah (?), Kaduri named The Christ Who is Coming, coming to deal with Israel. It is even more interesting when you know that Rabbis have had a running debate for a thousand years as to two Messiah's perhaps, the suffering Messiah as descended from Joseph and the conquering Messiah descended from David.

Of course, Christians believe Jesus is fulfilling both job descriptions, having come and been rejected and crucified (The suffering Messiah He read to the leaders from Isaiah 61:1&2), then coming at the end of The Tribulation to set foot on the Earth.

It is the little (200 years) parenthesis ending when He comes for His Bride and returns to His Father's House where He has been preparing a place for us that we Christians seem to like to debate.
