Historical usage. That's why. Nothing rational or mathematical about it.
My gosh do you anti-Apple haters like to pick nits. Do you seriously believe that a company would put out a product they've tested to work on all shades of skin if it did not work with a minority population? Talk about asking for lawsuits and bad publicity! Apple certainly is not that stupid. . . and the point of my posting this rebuttal argument was to show the article that started this thread IS that stupid, because a little research would have obviated their entire point, and falsified the majority of their claims. Proof positive of it being a ClickBait FUD article.
The issue is not that it passed any "tests" that it had to "pass."
The point is the sensors worked with users with darker skin.
And how it was going to be positioned is a marketing call. . . all the other smart wearables have been positioned as sport and fitness devices which is a niche category, Apple evidently decided to target a much larger demographic as well as the sport and fitness demographic. It is appropriate in the context of the article to mention that intent.
Fabulous Asian’s are buying this clunker. Gays are abstaining from this Tim Cooked up garbage. Just saying but Apple’s profit center is Chinese and Filipinos now. Taiwanese and Koreans
American buyers have dropped out. Gays in particular who have always been Apples prime demographic. As in dupes and stooges with lots of money to blow on hi tech fluff that goes (fabulous) with their latest hairdo
The fud packers say this bogus watch is clunker of the year and I concur. Apple fanbois are like a dog chasing his own tail. So keep doing it.
I am glad you finally agree you are a FUD packer.
What a load of horse droppings. To be expected from the rear end of a horse posting it.
fud packers can be right sometimes. Go ask your FUD packer in chief Tim (bottom) Kook
Was Alexander the Great a fud packer? How about that ol fuddy duddy Truman Capote who said the Apple watch is an abomination and an inferior version of the ol Dick Tracey wrist watch
All I know is that you have a strange preference for topics.
Sez you the paranoid perennial pimp of all things Apple
Coming from the most prolific serial liar on FreeRepulbic in every thread he posts on Apple threads, the logical conclusion is that the opposite has to be the absolute truth. Thank you, DennisW.
I would imagine magnetic inks would be bad :-)
The Watch’s appeal to me is its biggest appeal to bme.
I was in the market for a sports fitness band a couple of years ago. I picked one out and went to buy it at the Apple store. They did not have my size. My interest waned and the next thing I know, the company recalled the product. then i was looking at FitBitz or something ...
I like the idea that I can email my blood pressure, heart info and other stuff to my doctor rather than having to transfer them from my O{moon devices to email.
My doctor at Cedars uses mostly Omron and other devices.
On, on the subject of auto maintenance, I noticed that Apple was rolling out a thing where you open a place on your auto console, plug in your iPhone and it sends the auto diagnostics to your car dealership.
I’m a gadgets nut and stuff like this really appeals to me!!! Better living through iPhones.
