When I was growing up in Brooklyn, the gym by my house featured boxing along with the typical gym stuff. If you wanted to use the gym, you had to get in the ring, once.
Got in the ring, don’t know what hit me but I had to crawl across the ring to pick up my mouthguard, nose and a couple of teeth that were in the mouthguard. And I was wearing headgear.
lol. I boxed for 10 box a month out of Cromwell Center on Staten Island. Headgear was worthless lol
