Re: Draft over... I'd say good job by our boys

Well, let us... see, big.

From http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000488931/article/2015-nfl-draft-final-quicksnap-grades-for-nfc-north-teams

big'ol_freeper’s Packers

Draft pick: S Damarious Randall (No. 30 overall), CB Quinten Rollins (No. 62 overall), WR Ty Montgomery (No. 94 overall), LB Jake Ryan (No. 129 overall), QB Brett Hundley (No. 147 overall), FB Aaron Ripkowski (No. 206 overall), DE Christian Ringo (No. 210 overall), TE Kennard Backman (No. 213 overall)
Day 1 grade: B+
Day 2 grade: B-
Day 3 grade: B
Overall grade: B
The skinny: There are not a ton of needs for the Packers on either side of the ball, and they landed perhaps the best coverage safety — albeit, in a weak class — in Randall, who excels at man coverage. Add in Randall's ability to play some corner if needed, and the Packers might have landed a gem in addition to shoring up their secondary. Rollins also provides flexibility, with the ability to play both corner and safety. Wide receiver wasn't a big team need, but Montgomery has star potential in this offense and could be a Pro Bowl kick returner early in his career. Ryan was a perfect pick for Ted Thompson; he will be a hard-nosed player who can contribute as a solid player in several areas. Hundley and Aaron Rodgers can discuss their draft drops in the QB meeting rooms.

Bottom line: There are not a ton of holes on the roster, so Ted Thompson selected some luxury picks who can contribute in specific areas.

My Bottom Line: No great improvement jumps out here... as big's Packer Wackers are pretty dang awesome already, they only needed one extra Replay Ref to keep My Boys from beating them last year up in frozen Lambeau--

Impy’s Da Bears

Draft pick: WR Kevin White (No. 7 overall), DT Eddie Goldman (No. 39 overall), OL Hroniss Grasu (No. 71 overall), RB Jeremy Langford (No. 106 overall), S Adrian Amos (No. 142 overall), OL Tayo Fabuluje (No. 183 overall)
Day 1 grade: A
Day 2 grade: A
Day 3 grade: B+
Overall grade: A
The skinny: The hometown crowd reacted positively to the Bears’ first pick, and it wasn't alone. New GM Ryan Pace grabbed a player with arguably the highest upside in the draft. Jay Cutler said goodbye to Brandon Marshall and hello to someone with the potential to be even better in White, which has to make Cutler happy even if the front office might have tried to trade him. Good luck to opposing defenses trying to defend White and Alshon Jeffrey. At times, Goldman was dominant in the middle of Florida State's defense, and John Fox is hoping that happens in the Windy City. Oregon offensive linemen have worked out well for the Bears in recent years, and Grasu should continue that trend.

Bottom line: Nice start for new GM Ryan Pace, landing key fits and players who could have long NFL careers.

From http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000488929/article/2015-nfl-draft-final-quicksnap-grades-for-afc-west-teams

My Bottom Line: Gadzooks, Imp! Nothing taken here stops the fact that you still... got Cutler at QB--

Seven's Waiders

Draft pick: WR Amari Cooper (No. 4 overall), DL Mario Edwards Jr. (No. 35 overall), TE Clive Walford (No. 68 overall), OL Jon Feliciano (No. 128 overall), LB Ben Heeney (No. 140 overall), LB Neiron Ball (No 161 overall), LB Max Valles (No. 179 overall), OL Anthony Morris (No. 218 overall), WR Andre Debose (No. 221 overall), CB Dexter McDonald (No. 242 overall)
Day 1 grade: A+
Day 2 grade: A
Day 3 grade: B
Overall grade: A
The skinny: Jack Del Rio could have built his defense around Leonard Williams and Khalil Mack, but grabbing the safest player in the draft was a nice way to start things out. Cooper can play inside and outside and gives QB Derek Carr a much needed safety net who will catch everything thrown his way. After nailing their pick with Mack last year, these were not the Raiders we're used to seeing on the first night of the draft. Throw in a top-tier defensive lineman like Edwards, who can play everywhere, plus an athletic tight end like Walford, and GM Reggie McKenzie is stocking the roster with young talent.

Bottom line: Quality, quality draft for McKenzie and new coach Jack Del Rio with smart picks all over the place.

My Bottom Line: I like Jack Del Rio, Seven, but until he gets Johnny Football into Black & Silver Rehab... he ain't got a chinaman's chance in the AFC West.

Star's & My Old Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs

Draft pick: CB Marcus Peters (No. 18 overall), C Mitch Morse (No. 49 overall), WR Chris Conley (No. 76 overall), CB Steven Nelson (No. 98 overall), LB Ramik Wilson (No. 118 overall), LB D.J. Alexander (No. 172 overall), TE James O’Shaughnessy (No. 173 overall), DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches (No. 217 overall), WR Da’Ron Brown (No. 233 overall)
Day 1 grade: A-
Day 2 grade: B+
Day 3 grade: C+
Overall grade: B+
The skinny: Andy Reid got tremendous value at pick No. 18 and might have landed the top corner in the draft. Given the rough and rowdy division the Chiefs play in, Peters’ ability to cover and be physical with receivers will be a nice fit. Morse will probably be a center and can be the final piece along the Chiefs’ interior line. Conley was a workout wonder at the combine and will find a nice home on offense and special teams. Nelson is a scrappy corner who is a great value just within the top 100 picks.

Bottom line: Very solid draft for Kansas City, which really improved with its selections in the top 100.

My Bottom Line: Old Andy additions here... will keep My Old Dallas Texans in the hunt.

Allegra's Texicans:

Draft pick: CB Kevin Johnson (No. 16 overall), LB Benardrick McKinney (No. 43 overall), WR Jaelen Strong (No. 70 overall), WR Keith Mumphery (No. 175 overall), LB Reshard Cliett (No. 211 overall), DT Christian Covington (No. 216 overall), RB Kenny Hilliard (No. 235 overall)
Day 1 grade: B
Day 2 grade: B+
Day 3 grade: D
Overall grade: C-
The skinny: Johnson might be the most well-rounded cornerback prospect in the draft and certainly will boost a defense that has to contend with several potent offensive weapons in the division. McKinney will be a solid fit in the middle of the team's defense and can really help shut down opposing run games, but he has issues in coverage, and the Texans might have given up too much — a fourth- and sixth-round pick — in order to move up for a questionable player. At least they wound up getting a steal in Strong, who will be a perfect Andre Johnson replacement. If healthy, Covington could wind up being a tremendous value in the sixth round as a rotation player who can make flash plays.

Bottom line: Johnson can start early on, and landing Strong was a steal. Beyond that? Not great.

My Bottom Line: Allegra's Texicans still need a franchise Quarterback and until they get one... they are at best still an also ran--

And last but not least, My Boys

Draft pick: CB Byron Jones (No. 27 overall), DE Randy Gregory (No. 60 overall), OL Chaz Green (No. 91 overall), LB Damien Wilson (No. 127 overall), DE Ryan Russell (No. 163 overall), LB Mark Nzeocha (No. 236 overall), OL Laurence Gibson (No. 243 overall), TE Geoff Swaim (No. 246 overall)
Day 1 grade: A-
Day 2 grade: A+
Day 3 grade: F
Overall grade: B-
The skinny: The star of the NFL Scouting Combine jumped from under-the-radar prospect to first-round pick after testing well and showing scouts he could cover better than everyone thought. Jones fills a huge need on the Cowboys’ defense, and his versatility will allow him to play a number of spots in the secondary. On Day 2, the Cowboys got a top-10 talent at pick No. 60 in Gregory — obviously, a tremendous value at a big area of need. If the team can get a good support system in place, Gregory could be the steal of the draft a few years from now. Green fills a void along the line and can play multiple spots, but whether he can stay healthy is a question.

Bottom line: Jerry Jones got off to a great start by filling a big need at corner and landing a top-10 talent in the second round. He made some questionable decisions after that, including passing on a number of potential quality DeMarco Murray replacements. My Bottom Line: With a big improvement at Corner and "if" they can keep Randy from toking out... the Defense can become a real beast like the Offensive Line.

BUT-- Gadzooks-- We have to wait... until September to find out!!!!

Well Bendy, there was talk of the Bears wanting to trade up to get Marcus Mariotta, but the Titans didn’t want Cutlet, so there you go.

I don’t think the answer to anyone’s QB problem was to be found in this draft, outside of Winston and Mariotta, and frankly I’m not convinced that either of them are assured of being good NFL QBs themselves, Mariotta especially.

Overall I thought it was a good draft for my Bears, I don’t know about that 6th round pick though, another O-lineman? We still need more defense.

I can see another Tom Brady or Russel Wilson lower draft pick outplaying both of the first picks in this past draft; I think “Ja’Marques Russel-esque bust” when I see both Winston and Mariotta.

Bottom line: Very solid draft for Kansas City, which really improved with its selections in the top 100.

If Marcus Peters will grow up and toe the line. Past history doesn't hold a lot of promise for him doing that.
