Skirts on Fox News Programming (vanity)
Vanity | 4-23-15 | self

Can the skirts get any shorter on Fox news? (the men needn't answer)

What happened to the days when a lady crossed her legs discretly at the ankles?

Are high stools necessary to report the news? (Fox & Friends First, Megyn Kelly)

Is Roger Ailes in charge of skirt check? All of the skirts seem to be the same length. They don't come that way from the store.

Today on "Outnumbered" you could see to the bottom of the hips on all of the panelists when they were seated. Note I said "hips", not the other word.

Dana Perino from "The Five" must have written into her contract that she gets to sit behind the table with the men while the other women rotate to the "leg" chair.

Elizabeth Hasselback was in danger of providing a "view to France" on Fox and Friends this morning.

Are we about to witness a Sharon Stone moment?

Any day now.

[[I’m a woman. Raised in another time with different values.]]

I am a man, raised in another time with different values and I agree with you- it is shameful the way women today dress- You do NOT need to bear private parts to ‘be sexy’- when someone does so they are slutty, not sexy- The art of sexy is being desirable WITHOUT the need for cheap shameful exposure-

Actually, I think she’s their reporter on national intelligence and not just terrorism. She has received numerous awards for her reporting. KT is a consultant or adviser; I don’t think she is a reporter. I met her in 2004 in Washington, DC.

And aren’t the news gals always seated on a phone book or two? What about those skyscraper heels?

I remember one episode where Dana Perino’s skirt was slit so high up her hip they had to keep the headline crawler in front of her.

Yes, yes, it’s eye candy & unprofessional & how do these women expect to be taken seriously as journalists & blah blah blah, but hey,

I like my morning eye opener!

;^)

Well...I’m 51, but I have worn some short skirts when I was younger. Now it’s mid-knee or just above knee. But I’ve never worn anything quite as short as the Fox chicks. I’d have felt too exposed.

However, I will admit, what makes me crazy is the sleeveless dresses in the winter. I remember seeing Hasselbeck sitting in front of that glass window in a summer dress while a blizzard was going on behind her. It’s like the morons I see around here, wearing shorts and flip-flops in a sleet storm.

what happened to SLEEVES? My wife believes that the designers dumped them from bridal gowns because they are hard/expensive to make .

Our church dedicates a Mass each spring for all of the HS School graduating seniors of the parish. Every student graduating in the spring class is invited to sit in the front rows wearing his/her baccalaureate apparel. Our parish represents several high schools.

Imagine my shock one year (I 've learned to avoid that Mass) when there was a girl in the 2nd row amongst all the graduation robes who appeared to be nude. Turns out that she was from Divine Savior Holy Angels HS where the girls wear long white dresses. Hers was strapless.

When I was young, I remember the Pastor of my church in CA decreeing that "strapless, halter tops, sundresses, and spaghetti straps were forbidden in church". Communicants must wear a jacket over such garments.

Your wife is right. Sleeves are hard to inset, but not beyond most sewers. Takes a little practice is all.

The worst look of the year so far was Maria Molina, the weather girl, yesterday: long white jacket and a skirt about 6” long and the obligatory 5” heels. She’s under 5’ tall, and the proportions were comical

That's standard dress for women on Univision News.

So I wasn't the only one who noticed that.... your use of the word 'comical' is quite appropriate as I bust out laughing when I saw her. It looked ridiculous as it exaggerated parts of her body just like a cartoonist does.

Greta is the only one on that channel who can be taken seriously.

Xenu agrees.

Greta is okay to watch but she is reportedly a liberal and democRAT. She gets too much of her feelings and emotions and editorializing involved in her show. I also question the intelligence and common sense of someone who belongs to that cult of Scientology. Not much to trust there.

Bret Baier is the best hard news anchor on Fox News. Slim to none entertainment segments on his Special Report show. Just news. No editorializing by himself, even though he has a three person panel to carry out those duties. He's a fallback to the news anchors of the past. Well-respected, objective and forthright.

That lady's name is Catherine Herridge. She is an excellent reporter.

Nothing like a Jackie Guerrido weather report with the sound on mute.
