It took surgery and a lot of Physical Therapy. It is from what I hear a very painful break. That being said (and I say this about the broken leg = sterility) she went on to marry and had two beautiful kids.
Yay! Can you imagine that injury 100 years ago? That Heavens for modern medicine.
