As parents, you want to watch over your children but that isnt always possible until now.
According to WVLT, a Tennessee father has come up with a way to watch his daughter walk to school and ensure she safely arrives.
His tactic gives a whole new meaning to the term helicopter parenting.Dad drone daughter school
The father, Chris Early, is a techie; he owns a video production company.
When his 8-year-old daughter Katie asked to walk to school alone, he turned to technology.
He fired up his drone to ensure she safely arrived at school.
I could see on the monitor that a lot of the kids were looking and pointing up and Im sure Katie was just like, Aww, its my dad,' Early said.
So what does Katie think of her eye in the sky?
I was like, Oh wow,' she said. He didnt tell me then, so I was pretty surprised.
Some parents might say hes being too overprotective, but Early said it was just for fun and is happy knowing she was safe.
It was just kind of a thing, just to kinda keep an eye on, just make sure she was looking both ways, Early said. Let her know that daddy is always watching.
Early said he has only had the drone for about a month and plans to use it for his video production work.
A tech gadget which pedophiles can now use to monitor your children.
If you can come up with a cool term these days, you can dominate the news, free range, helicopter, etc.
So this dad would rather sit at the controls of his drone, and watch his daughter walk to school from afar. Not sure how this is ensuring her safety, unless the thing is armed.
In time, when you go out for a pack of smokes at 2:am, a silent sky camera may be following you down the street and back, and if a couple of guys step out of the shadows, the drone can come down low and instruct them that it is capturing their faces and activities. Some day I guess the drone will be able to take some kind of whiff of them, to retain chemical information of some sort, and of course if they committed the crime anyway, the drone can track them as they flee, while also sending aid to their victim.
All this technology means that it is more important than ever to get our government and police under control.
Taser...
Unless this drone has missiles, and a direct line to 911, it is just a feel-good piece of equipment.
Nothing protects a child on their way to work than having their parents either take them to it or go along with them.
THe rest of PC useless crap.
“Not sure how this is ensuring her safety, unless the thing is armed.”
All of these drones are “armed”, in the sense that they have 4 or more plastic propellers turning at 14,000 rpm. They could do serious damage.
Last weekend we were flying and my daughter’s dog decided he could jump up and grab it. Poor dog... A lot of blood but he lived.

Better off following her in the car at a discreet distance. If you must.
