I doubt the accuracy of this based on one observation: Germany. My observation of German behavior, starting with a NATO assignment long ago, and recently conversing with Germans at my little aviation museum in the fl Keys, suggests Germans have a deep-rooted love and respect for the US, at least for our "common citizens."

I could write a book on this but at least someone already has: "The Candy Bombers," by Andrei Cherny. It's been out since 2008 I think, so it may be available at your local library or online.
