This is so “Ef-ed” up I can’t begin to describe it.
A certain percentage will have lost the desire to serve after this event. It will later be described as emotional abuse and outlawed. It may take a quarter century of dumbassery stunts like this before the brass admit not that they are wrong, but that they are ‘less fully correct than available estimates surmised at that time’.
I don’t think the United States of America has 25 years left.
The name will remain, maybe, but that’s it.
This is so wrong on some many levels. The Armed Forces of the United States are going to be handed their “high heels” in the next major regional war, especially if the other side doesn’t believe in following rules of engagement. The current military leadership has lost its honor and its soul to political expediency. Where will these “leaders” be when the body bags start coming home? Oh, I guess they will be enjoying their retirement and bragging that any troops lost in the future didn’t happen on their watch. Absolutely, mind-bogglingly, unbelievable!!! We deserve better than this sorry spectacle.
