Personally, I wonder this: If all races develop machine intelligence to the point that AI becomes hyperintelligent and continuously improving, wouldn’t we see many competing hyperintelligent AIs? Or is that what God is — a group of AI’s that merged?
If super-AI is inevitable, where are previous-civilization’s copies of same?

No. You define your home by physical rooms, but rooms are essentially empty spaces with the absence of walls. You don’t define your home by the walls that specify the location of the room.

I immediately thought of a Far Side cartoon showing a guy kneeling and worshipping a square shape labeled “nothing” while another guy looked on in confusion, asking “Is nothing sacred?”...

No problem mon...the Super Void has been designated as the first
Galactic Heritage Zone in the umiverse by the United Nations just last week.
The objective is to keep the void free from the oppressive genocidal nature raping grasp of the western European culture.
By acclaimation the first two Super-Duper Hole trustees have been named; Obama and Al Gore.

although it is not a vacuum, it seems to have around 20 per cent less matter than other regions. Sounds close enough to normal to me, I mean give or take 20% seems not to far out of the ballpark........Just saying.
Are there regions with 20% more matter (give or take) than the average?
