He should have used it. More people die from punches and kicks than any weapons used.

I really hate to say this, but it too bad he didn’t use it. It seems to me that a couple of lethal put-downs may be what is needed to put a stop to this kind of craziness.

Memphis is a creeeeeepy place. Pulled in on two separate occasions to gas up driving cross country. I wouldn’t recommend it without a firearm.

Sicon, I watched the segment and you are correct. He at first did not want to say that he had a firearm, but later said he did. I too was greatly surprised at his restraint. As I recall, he noted that he did not feel seriously threatened, that they were not doing him a great deal of harm, and so he did not draw his weapon because he did not want to escalate the situation.
He said he was having lower back issues as a result of the fracas, but “came out of it pretty well.” He did not appear any worse for wear to me, but who knows what might develop over time. Hopefully nothing!
At any rate, in my opinion, from what I saw last night, he is a great American, a good man and should be commended for his control and restraint. All the more so since when asked if he felt the “youths” should be prosecuted, he said absolutely!
