The sale is completed. It’s not a deposit, but the full purchase price is taken. I do that very same thing with just about every product I buy online, including Apple.
I just bought something from Amazon today. They said it would be about ten days before delivery. I didn’t pay a deposit to Amazon today, but I paid the full purchase price. They got my money ... :-) ...
It’s the delivery that is not completed. Just about ALL my purchases are that way. You may not a be familiar with the new way people are buying things these days ... LOL ...
Fanboi , These are “pre-sales” not “sales” there is a difference and it is important... The items have not been delivered and have not yet even been produced. The items have only been created on a handcrafted basis ,, not on the production line necessary to make anything like the quantities ordered.
Until they are successfully created and delivered these are not “sales” they are “pre-sales”... Apple has leaked that they have more than one technical hurdle to get over before they can actually produce this item in quantity.
Buying a first generation crippled product that will be eclipsed in the very near future is best left to the people caught up in the “aura” ... I however live in the real world of “results” and “functionality” .
