I had bursitis in my heel went to an ortho doc and he gave me a cortisone shot...instant relief never had that problem again
Cortisone is great for relief, but it doesn’t do anything for the underlying cause. It can break an inflammatory injury cycle such as with an acute injury, but if there is an underlying chronic cause for pain such as loss of joint cartilage, it is just delaying a more appropriate treatment.
