ISTANBUL -- Adding to angry comments about the Pope Francis' description of the Ottoman-era killing of Armenians as genocide, Turkey's prime minister said Wednesday that the pontiff has joined "an evil front" plotting against Turkey.

Ahmet Davutoglu made the comments at an event in Ankara outlining the ruling party's platform for June parliamentary elections and presenting its candidates. He called the pope's description of the killings of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians as "the first genocide of the 20th century" unjust. Anybody have any idea why these goombahs are still a member of NATO?

Isn’t it time to put them on the “supporters of terrorists” list and get it over with?

Remember when all conservatives supported Turkey and thought Greeks and Armenians were nothing but trouble-making Commies? I do. Of course, those same conservatives supported the Arabs against Israel.

I think the criticism of Turkey should be fine-tuned, to explain that the *genocide* was carried out by the Muslim Ottoman government, *not* by the secular government of Atatürk, focusing exclusively on it being a “Muslim genocide”, less a “Turkish genocide”.

The implication being that for Turkey to have a Muslim governance moves it in the direction of genocide, bloodshed, barbarism and dictatorship.

And Erdogan has been moving Turkey in the direction of Muslim governance.

Remember the Erdogan quote, “Democracy for me is like a bus. When you get to your stop, you get off.”

Thought since Ataturks time the military was supposed to be the guardians of Turkey against islamists. Guess not.
