We need a really efficient filter at Ellis Island and other entry points. The southern border is yet another question.
The borders are largely wide open. And anyone can come in on a tourist or student visa and just stay and stay and stay. They can if they wish purchase new ID for a couple hundred bucks , no problem. Some come with it already (Consider what’s in our WH today?)
