Are we happy with the potential Repub field?

Posted on 04/13/2015 6:14:44 AM PDT by fred4prez

It's been a while since I've been on here, but decided to check back in to see what FR thinks of the potential Republican field for 2016. Frankly, I'm pretty excited:

Ted Cruz - A+ conservative pick
Rand Paul - named after Ayn Rand, and son of Ron Paul, what could go wrong? :) Would definitely love to see the country move more in the libertarian direction.
Marco Rubio - B+ due to immigration stance, but still a strong republican
Scott Walker - A+ union buster.
Rick Perry - A+ Good guy from a good state with executive experience
Chris Christy - B+ but none of us can say we wouldn't love to see him debate a lib!
Jeb Bush - C - I dislike him but due to his last name, really doubt he'd be nominated
Ben Carson - B+ great guy but little executive experience, but worlds better than current prez.

Overall, with the exception of Jeb, I'd be thrilled to see any of the above with the Republican nomination. And who else is there who could possibly win the nomination than someone I've listed?

Caeser Chavez actually opposed illegal aliens, Jeb Bush does not.

I don't want a field of candidates... I want everyone to rally behind one rock-solid LEADER that can kick Hillary's sagging ass, punch Elizabeth Warren in the mouth, and put this nation back on track as a nation of laws with absolute protection of my rights to life, liberty and private property. That is all that matters.

I believe such a leader would be molded in this image:

Ted Cruz - A+ conservative pick
Rand Paul - C- Decided after getting to Washington he’d become Mitch McConnell’s best friend
Marco Rubio - F - Decided to scheme with Schumer against the citizens with his Gang.
Scott Walker - B - Has only recently decided he’s for the rule of law, previously sided with illegal aliens and their employers
Rick Perry - F - A cheap labor importer
Chris Christy - F - A Democrat in an R jersey
Jeb Bush - F- A cheap labor importer Democrat in an R jersey
Ben Carson - Not a serious candidate

Clearly Ted Cruz 2016

[Ben Carson sounds good too but the Presidency as your first elective office might be a stretch.]

I’VE CROSSED BEN CARSON OFF AS A PRESIDENTIAL CONTENDER. He’s rather ‘mushy’ about his faith.

Ben Carson Easter Post On Facebook
Facebook ^ | 4/4/2015 | Ben Carson
As Easter approaches, let us remember the role that Jesus Christ and God play in our lives. Let us also remember that Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in God, and while there are ideological differences in who Jesus was, we should find peace in the fact that we are all God’s children.

Jesus is my role model, and he preached love, he preached acceptance. He also was a man of values and principles, and he ended up being crucified for it. But, he rose again to advocate godly principles of loving our fellow man, caring about our neighbors, developing our God-given talents to the utmost so that we become valuable to the people around us, and maintaining high ideals that govern our lives.

We must make certain that people of all types of faith are respected by one another. Let us remember that the First Amendment to the United States Constitution is one of the basic pillars of our system of governance and a founding principle of our nation, as it protects religious freedom.
It is critical that we allow Americans to practice their religious ways, while also ensuring that no one’s beliefs infringe upon those of others.

Throughout the globe we must serve as champions of freedom of religion. As people across the world are persecuted by religious fanatics who perform hateful acts of ignorance, we Americans have a duty to denounce these acts of persecution. By standing up to such intolerance, we are defending the root of our freedom.

I enjoy the following quote from the second Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and will heal their land.”

Perry is a former Democrat and an Aggie. He's not qualified to mow the lawn.

Ted Cruz is great, but stands somewhere right below the halfwit reality TV star Palin of getting the nomination.

Beyond the minority conservatives on FR, the average VOTER is middle of the road on most issues. They like compromise and agreement. They're fed up with taxes, welfare and lack of character in the ruling class. They want to be left alone, largely want us to leave the rest of the world alone. They like inexpensive gas, and Walmart.

While this middle ground seems nice, it unfortunately gives ground to the left who is pulling way left. Until you get to the right 3% of conservatives, you don't find the counteraction against this leftward pull. It is this 3% or less that likes Ted, Sarah or any other FR star. It's also why they'll never be nominated.

Palin is a halfwit ? Whut ? Ted Cruz stands an excellent chance of getting the nomination. He connects with the base in a way no one has since Reagan. He is his own man and is running his campaign on his own terms and not pandering to the moonbat Democrat media in the process.

Cruz or Lose.

Huge Major Breaking News Alert

It’s April 13 2015. That means the race has just begun, and not everyone is in yet. You need A Field in order to make your choice. Our Democrat “Friends” don’t have a field...something they will regret by next fall.

The thing is, all the candidates (announced & unannounced) bring many positives to the table. And let’s be honest the worst of them (whoever you decide is the worst) is head and shoulders above the Queen Bee.

Regarding Ben Carson’s faith - he’s anything but NOT mushy! He, like myself, is a Seventh-Day Adventist. Even though we like to regard it as a mainstream denomination, it is somewhat marginal due to our very unique beliefs (worshiping on Saturday, healthful living, etc). Thus, since we are very concerned about making sure our denomination remains free to worship as we chose, we are very apt to extend that same freedom to others.

It is an impressive field, this is a big boy’s primary, something that we have not seen for, at the very least, two cycles in a row.

I don’t honestly care.

I think it is important to choose a conservative, and a winnable VP. And the rest of the pack would work together to restore the country.

That is prime.

Aligning himself with the guy who personifies everything wrong with the GOP and who masterminded the treachery of MS and who said he wanted to kill the Tea party was enough for me to not trust him.

[Regarding Ben Carson’s faith - he’s anything but NOT mushy!]

Ben Carson wrote - “Let us also remember that Jews, Christians and Muslims all believe in God.”

All gods are not the same as our GOD. Words mean something! Ben needs to proof his articles and correctly handle the Word of Truth. Christians cannot be careless with words.

(John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.)

I’d prefer to see the conservatives get together in one room, put their egos aside and determine one candidate to take on the Rinos. Then have the others get behind that one candidate and ride him to victory. We can’t afford another McCain or Romney, hand-chosen by the media and incapable of making a forceful counterargument against liberalism.

Really?

No, not really. His full name is Randall Howard Paul.
