“He was arrested on Wednesday and detained at the Land O’Lakes Detention Center until he was released into the custody of his mother later the same day.”

Ridiculous. He should have just been dealt with by his parents;

(and then been hired by the school district to redo their computer system).

People in FL do the oddest things: they must be heavily for Jebbie in 2016.

by using an administrator's password

The administrator should be sanctioned for violating system security by letting his password be known. (Is it "hacking" if the person has his password stuck to his monitor on a Post-it Note?)

... had access to personal files and could have altered his classmates' grades.

But apparently he didn't. Hasn't he watched "War Games," or is he too young?

He probably didn't realize embarrassing the authorities is a felony.

He probably didn't realize embarrassing the authorities is a felony.

To make it worse, he thought an image of two men kissing would be "embarrassing".

Perhaps the teacher wasn’t “inclusive”? Sounds like he has a case if he goes that way.

I got caught looking at the teachers gradebook (paper type) while being punished with after-school detention for some other infraction. The punishment for looking at the gradebook was an addition week of after-school detention. The teacher had started locking her desk drawer then, so while she was down in the teachers lounge smoking, I picked the lock and looked at it again ;-)
