All sports are looking at rules changes to increase offense and scoring. It seems that this appeals to more fans in sports. So it seems baseball is simply following suit.

If the goal is to increase scoring, it makes sense to go to a DH.

I was at a game in LA where he was used as a pinch hitter with Tommy Davis on second. Davis scored on a Drysdale single to deep left field.

Fans like offense is why they started it.

It would cost a few players their jobs and the union won’t hear of that is the reason why they can’t get rid of it.
