INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Four Indianapolis women are facing more than 60 felony counts related to an alleged fraud scheme prosecutors say helped them steal additional food stamps and child care services which they had not earned.
The amount of money fraudulently obtained by the women totaled more than $100,000, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
Among those charged were: Leticia Falconer, Debera Anderson, Asia Malone and Laquisha Flowers.
Prosecutors say the alleged scheme was initially detected by state workers with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration. Falconer, a food-stamp recipient and one-time employee with the Xerox, the state contractor that administered the food stamp program, allegedly devised a scheme where she submitted forged documents that under-reported her income and over-reported her expenses.
In doing so, prosecutors claim she was able to receive additional benefits she was not eligible to receive. According to court documents, Falconer also allegedly helped two of her co-defendants receive benefits they should not have received.
Prosecutors also claim Falconer also under-reported her income in her Child Care Development Fund benefits in order to receive additional benefits she did not earn.
The amount of fraudulent money received by Falconer under this scheme was $79,489.00. The total amount of fraudulent money received by all four defendants was $101,872.00.

They earn them on their backs, pumping out more clients for “services”.
