I read on an air gun forum that Crosman’s pellgunoil which sells for several dollars an ounce, is actually automatic transmission fluid.
I don’t know if that is true.
Sounds like a great marketing plan if you can pull it off, LOL. Sort of like the Starbux of lubricants.
Back in the sixties, when I was young, we would put a teaspoon of gasoline down the barrel of a BB gun and it would increase the hell out of the power. It would eventually rust the gun.
I have a really nice pellet rifle. I accidentally discovered that if you put a drop of rem oil behind the pellet the oil will diesel under pressure in the chamber and fire it like a rifle. pretty cool actually.
