I don't use MS office products on anything I own. Even the MS box I own uses a version of Open Office. It seems to open more weird files than MS office does.

Yeah, I'll agree with the weird file aspect. I've used Open Office on Linux and Windows for about a decade, also NeoOffice on Macs and Libre Office on Linux.

But there are times when working with documents from customers and clients where my edits have to go back to them for review, that only the Microsoft Office applications will work right. I swear the Microsoft apps have a way of knowing that you've screwed with a document using some other tool, and they puke on it. So I keep a copy of real MS-Office around for those occasions...
