The real experts on making cheap rockets out of easily available materials are living in Gaza. They have been firing many thousands of homemade rocket into Israel for years now and causing major disruptions for civilians who have to take shelter and also major expense for the Israeli defense.

Since they have had a lot more experience, Palestinian terrorist appear to be more advanced than these guys. They get most of their funding and technical support from the leading sponsor of this type of activity, Iran. By lifting the sanctions with the proposed “nuclear treaty” there is no doubt that this type of technology will receive a big boost in funding. They have been working on homemade rockets that can accurately deliver a 200 pound warhead over 60 miles into the hear of Tel Aviv.

I guess that the goal of this group is to launch more space debris into orbit. Even though I found the video to be a professional production and entertaining... I personally would be leery of posting a YouTube videos with specifics about ideas and construction techniques that might be useful to Middle Eastern terrorists

More specifically, Hamas uses rocket motors mostly made out of sugar and fertilizer which is cheaper and less complicated than what these guys came up with, but with a few modifications their design might have some applications that could put thousands of people at greater risk than they already are. Am I worrying needlessly about a kind of goofy video?

These designs were in the public view when I was reading about them at the public library and the American Rocket Society (ARS) 55-60 years ago. So, that horse is already out of the barn a lifetime ago.
