I'm reposting your post because it has to be read over and over.

When I was a kid, I was what they called “hyperactive” (hold had out and it twitches on its own, leg kicks uncontrollably). A combination of a firm hand and life teaching me stuff worked it out in the long run. Nowadays if a boy just acts like a boy, they medicate him into submission. ADHD medication is child abuse, except for EXTREME cases.

They tried that with my grandson when he was in Grade 1. Put an end to that pretty quickly. The teachers (and some parents) are just lazy. A kid presents just a bit of a challenge and they can't deal with it. Lazy.
