All went well. Two hours or so in OR. 2 plates, 8 screws.
She will stay one more day so a therapist can brief her on what lies ahead recovery wise.
Thanks to all for your prayers!
May God bless you both. (You need them as well, since you will be taking care of everything). My husband had to be my caretaker a year ago when I had a huge shoulder surgery. I feel sorry for him now. I couldn’t even dress myself.
Thanks for the update, Norm.
Thanks for the update, Norm.
Great to hear everything went well, both of you will be in our thoughts. Our daughter broke one of the bones in the same place and a plate was put in, she had a full recovery and is fine.
Appreciate the update. I can only compare a broken wrist...but I could still walk.. She will be very sore for at least a week...pain meds are a necessary evil and she/you need to sty ahead of the pain; don’t try to tough it out. I hope you can get some assistance with visiting nurses and/or family. Access to a ‘high-hat’ toilet seat or one with grab bars would help, as will a recliner, if available. I will keep praying; breaking a bone like that is a miserable experience.
I’m so glad that she’s all right. It must have hurt like the dickens!
