A Brooklyn city councilwoman wants to know why “blocs” of Asians are living in two Fort Greene housing projects — and suggested it would be “beneficial” to assign housing by ethnic group.
“How is it that one specific ethnic group has had the opportunity to move into a development in large numbers?” Laurie Cumbo, who is black, said at a council hearing on public housing Thursday

government sanctioned racial segregation. Remarkable. Somebody needs to explain what Defacto Segregation is to her. Sometimes the results appear segregated after the fact, despite no deliberate attempts to produce it. #CreditHistoryMattersToo.

I think she is complaining about a bunch of Asians moving into public housing in an area that has been gentrified, while public housing in bad areas remain black.
Or, perhaps more accurately, public housing in those areas remains bad because it's black.
What ethnic/racial group should live in the White Mosque?
She doesn’t want segregation; she wants Asians out of housing to which she feels blacks are entitled. Blacks will continue to pay the price for these open borders as non-blacks start consuming freebies that had previously been earmarked exclusively for them; if there is an amnesty in this country we will rarely see black people in the public sphere as they would become irrelevant. The newcomers will have more votes and more money.

I don’t think my first generation American of Italian decent, Dad would have taken kindly to being called a WOP or DAGO.
Bad enough my Scottish ancestors called the other half Sassenachs.
NO more than some of my aunt’s in law would take kindly to being called dumb Pollock’s.
We have had this type segregation since people started fleeing the Old World, didn’t work then, won’t work now.
I just prefer to be called an AMERICAN.
And my Swedish grandfather forbid the speaking of the native language in his house. Assimilation was the goal.
