Looks interesting!
I am getting a free weekend of one of the premium channels tho it actually started on Wednesday.
Yesterday they showed “Dr. No”. I had forgotten just how good it was. For the most part everything was totally believable. Maybe Dr. No. and his hands were a bit over the top but everything else could actually have happened.
A couple of hours ago, they showed “Skyfall”. I watched a bit of it as I had read that it was one of the few new ones which were not cartoons. I watched about 15 minutes and turned to another channel.
I haven’t really watched a Bond movie in 20 years or more.
Willing to give it a chance.

As to the original story line, in the books, Dr. No’s hands were severely damaged in a lab accident, while working for the Communist Chinese, and remember, this was written in the 1950’s, before ‘Luke Skywalker got his hand back”.
Yes, it could have happened. Also, since ‘Casino Royale’ was the FIRST book, being tied to that chair, but using a simple ‘rug beater’, instead of the well fused rope knot, was following the story line, too.
Last, ‘skyfall’, was not written by Fleming, or the authorized follow-on writers. As to ‘spectre’, the organization was already in operation, as of Dr. No.
Like all the Bond films. This looks interesting indeed. When is it coming out?
