Also try, ‘Foyle’s War.’ Loved, loved, LOVED that series! Set in WWII right before the Nazis invade England. All of the ‘mysteries’ are war-related. Very well done!

I watched some of that, and then it disappeared. I thought it was coming back (I program the DVR a week in advance) but then it never showed up in my line up.

We’ve been enjoying Ballykissangel (a series set in an Irish village that originally ran in the early 1990s) but I think that it is coming to an end. At least, there are no more episodes forthcoming next week.

New Tricks also seems to be coming to an end, and they are replacing it with Hustle which I’ve already seen.

As far as mysteries are concerned, we’ve enjoyed the Midsomer Murders, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Morse, and Mrs. Blake’s (Diana Riggs) Mysteries.

Miss Fisher is not playing right now, but it is set in Australia in the period right after WWI and boasts fabulous cars, clothes, and table settings. Miss Fisher is a woman who was an ambulance driver in the resistance and who outlived all of her male relatives and so inherited all of the money. So, she is an independent woman who can afford a fabulous lifestyle while she solves crimes. She’s a real character. She’s probaly available on NetFlix. You’d probably enjoy that series, if you haven’t seen it.
