Would you drink beer made from sewage water?
The Telegraph (UK) ^ | March 13, 2015 | Saffron Alexander

We're getting more creative with what we do with our waste. The end of 2014 gave us the "poo bus" - a bus run on sewage and food waste - and Bill Gates is currently drinking feces made by a machine that turns human waste into drinking water and electricity.

Water's fungible...

All the H2 projects, burning of methane, ethane, propane, butane, heck, fossil fuels in general, all produce some amount of water when burned.

The same goes for air.

The scientists say that every breath we take contains molecules that also passed through the lungs of George Washington.

Not sure if that's "settled science" like Algore and his global warming, but there you have it for what it's worth.

Discussed by Shakespeare:

Hamlet: Why may not imagination trace the noble dust of Alexander till he find it stopping a bung-hole?

Horatio: ‘Twere to consider too curiously, to consider so.

I do not drink Coors either, but at least Coors is or at least was, actually brewed up in the mountains like they advertised.

Most of it is still brewed at our plant in Golden, Colorado.
I have to be there in 2 hours to get to work.
You wouldn't believe all the stuff our treatment plant does to make sure that the water used to make the beer is as fresh and clean as possible.

Is it your view that the vast majority of the water on planet earth is “newly made” water?

The exception being O'Douls, preferably the dark.

These days I usually drink one of Sierra Nevada's brews, or local Kona Brewing's if I can find it for a reasonable price. You'd think it would be reasonable, but they have to ship it to the mainland to bottle it.

Of course not, otherwise I’d be proselytizing that the seas are indeed rising, just not for climate change.

I remember a magazine ad for Culligan water softeners:

“The water you drink may have quenched the thirst of Julius Caesar!” as it depicts the noble Roman quaffing his goblet.

(One of those things that makes you say hmmm.....)

IIRC, folks in Louisiana used to say Dixie Beer was made with Mississippi River waste water ... it was one of the best beers I ever drank, back then.

Would you drink beer made from sewage water?

You already do. Every drop of water on this planet has been inside a living creature at some point.

So has every bit of air.

You're breathing farts people.

Yes, I point out to customers all the time that all sewage water runs into the reservoirs after it goes through a primary plant and is “nuked” with chlorine.

I also point out during a summer dry spell where do they think most of the make-up water entering the reservoirs comes from?

The area where I live is the watershed (reservoirs) for NYC and also many suburban towns on the way down there.

I’ve already tried Bud Light.

Real men don't drink light beer!
