Behaviors are different than diseases, but we're living in an amoral time, so overindulgence to the point of self destruction, whether it's food or alcohol or gambling or sex or drugs, is a "disease."
Which of course, is a lie, or if it's a disease, it's self-inflicted and self-cured. Truth: It's a behavior, and that's where the cure is. It's always been that way and will always be that way.
I feel bad for fat folks, I really do. They don't know how to eat smart, and cheap easy food is mostly crap food. Just the same, calling a behavior a "disease" absolves personal responsibility, even the moral obligation for it, and that's bound to go bad.
I think many fat people do know how to eat properly or smart, they just don’t like that food, so they eat what they want and eat as much as they want.
I know how to eat smart and I eat smarter, but I eat stuff that isn’t great for me. I don’t eat more than I should and I take a lot of supplements and herbs and vitamins to make up for some of the bad stuff.
I didn't always have this problem. It didn't start until my mid-thirties, so I do know the difference between normal and abnormal. Abnormal sucks!
Honestly....If food is needed in heaven, I am leaving. Hell couldn't be worse.
