An acquaintance that teaches in an urban school district described a conversation in which she asked a mother why her son was always getting into trouble with another boy a few grades ahead of him. The mother said they were brothers, and when my friend relayed that she was unaware of this, the mother then proceeded to name over a dozen other children in the school that all had the same father...
