Let me explain something. Savage was on Hannity hawking a book about a decade ago, and Hannity was so impressed with Savage’s prescient message that he said he thought that Savage’s book deserved to sell more than his own book, and that he hoped it would. Just a few weeks later, Savage was ripping Hannity, calling him Vanity or some such silly moniker.
Mike Savage is sometimes interesting, but the guy eats his own. His problems with the other hosts are of his own making. Bob
Doesn’t surprise me at all. Savage’s ego is so ‘big’, I think it twists his mind. I’ve been listening to him for around 15 years, and he was a lot better when he was starting out. Now, he can’t seem to help himself from taking shots at the other talk show hosts. Levin and Hannity respond by taking shots back at him.
Savage takes shots at Rush too sometimes, but Rush ignores him, probably to not elevate Savage by responding. Rush is so far above Savage, there’s no point in dignifying or elevating him with a response. It probably drives Savage nuts that he can’t draw Rush into participating in some sort of half ass pissing match.
Savage has also taken shots at Beck too, and I don’t believe Beck has responded either. Likely for similar reasons as Rush. Really, Levin and Hannity should take the same approach, IMO.
Among them all, Rush is the only TRULY GREAT Talk Radio host. Beck is good. Savage, Levin, and Hannity aren’t good hosts. They apparently get very good ratings though, and they make lots of money doing it, so that’s just my personal opinion. lol
