A 26-year-old Longmont woman who was seven months pregnant showed up at a home Wednesday to buy baby clothes she'd seen in a Craigslist post.

What police say happened then is horrific: The 34-year-old woman who lives at the home, in the 1600 block of Green Place in Longmont, stabbed the pregnant woman and "removed" her baby.

The baby did not survive.

"removed." Interesting choice of words.

"The issues involving an unborn child are complicated under Colorado law," Garnett said. "In most circumstances, if a child was not actually born alive, then homicide charges are not possible. With a case like this, most of the time charges would not need to be filed until sometime next week."

The baby was undoubtedly alive as it was being cut out of the womb.

Why should there be any question about homicide?

The laws are warped due to the pro-choice crowd would be my guess.

I don’t understand how God tolerates this world anymore.

After reading a story like this, I wish He’d just blow up this Earth and send us all to Hades—we certainly deserve it.

GTR, anyone?

This isn’t the first time this sort of thing has been reported and it is almost an exclusive of a certain cultural/ethnic group.

We also had a total nutjob knife his parents here yesterday. He lived a few doors down from my manager. This was such a quiet little town (famous last words).

He is longsuffering and rich in mercy, but he will not overlook this sin or any other. He “will by no means clear the guilty.”

Exodus 34:6-7
6 And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

Police said the 34-year-old Dynel Catrece Lane, went to a hospital with the baby claiming a miscarriage. The baby did not survive.

Police said her husband drove her and the baby to the hospital, but it’s not clear if he was inside the home when the attack happened. ..

Lane was arrested on a number of felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse knowingly/reckless resulting in death.

Lane previously held a certified nurse’s aide credential

Longmont has one highest percentage of Hispanic residents. It is 14 miles form Boulder and is in Boulder county. Several strikes against it.

Colorado huh? I wonder if marijuana was involved. Seems to be a lot of psychotic episodes with some people who use weed.

“The laws are warped due to the pro-choice crowd would be my guess.”

Exactly correct. And no, it’s not complicated. Under Colorado law this is just an assault and there is no extra crime due to the baby being killed. We’ve tried to change this law numerous times and the lefties have voted us down every time.

In a civilized society, the perp would be tried within 30 days of arrest. She would have one week to present an appeal.
When the appeal fails, she would be marched outside the courthouse and immediately hanged in the town square.

The prosecutor should argue that the baby was born alive (violently but still born alive) and still living outside the mother's womb. The baby's later death resulted from the assault. That child was legally a person at death and died due to a violent act of assault with a deadly weapon. I would prosecute, and as a juror, I would vote guilty.

“Dynel Catrece Lane”

Is that an Amish name?

I disagree. If the prosecutor plays some game with whether this baby was technicality born, having been removed from his mothers body prior to being killed, he would only be blunting public outrage. The topic of whether assaulting a pregnant woman and killing her baby constitutes murder has been voted on recently here in Colorado and the communists told us resoundingly that no it does not. If it comes to a vote again people need to be able to point to this poor woman and her baby.

Butt, in this post common sense society this heinous murder will be pushed aside so liberals can turn the trial into an abortion debate.

This is a distinctly different crime from murdering a baby in the womb. The killer murdered a baby after removing that baby from the womb, and that is felony murder, no word games required. We also need the laws you advocate, but this particular murder is not evidence in support of that need.

How is this a distinctly different crime from murdering a baby in the womb? Are you saying that if she had simply stabbed the woman in the belly, purposely killing her baby, that would be a less heinous crime than this?

To me, the fact that she removed the baby and took it to the hospital could be construed as meaning that, somewhere in her deranged mind, she didn’t want to harm the baby but only to steal it.

I’m sure this crazy lady is not a trained OBGYN, so if the prosecution is burdened to prove that the baby survived the removal process, that might be a little iffy.

Bottom line, I’m saying that the commies decided that a woman’s right to protect her children from harm only applies after they have been officially born. That is crazy and the public needs to be made aware how crazy that is.

I share your sentiment, kind sir. I have wondered that very same thing many a time. Makes me embarrassed to be part of the human race...
