I'm sorry, it's been a while since I had to code HTML. I tried to and clicked "preview" and all my coding showed up. I just want to check and see if it happens when I actually post...

Um, squared brackets are not HTML coding. Only used on simplistic forums for those who can’t figure out the difference between < > and [ ].
Bizarre.

This is only a test. If this were an actual html thread there would be a picture or meme to entertain you. Please stay tuned to this thread for possible updates.

I thought it was quite a nice train wreck. At least everything was spelled correctly. ;-)

What you see in preview and what actually posts is...THE EXACT SAME THING!
Kinda funny how the guys who designed the site made that happen.

Well, welcome to FR! I'm afraid there are certain inmates here who look askance on starting one's FR career with what we term a Vanity Post, but don't worry about them at all. Homeland Security says they'll never repeat what they did to the last guy, a feller named Herb who we like to nickname The Late Herb. Most of that was accidental anyway, the part about the railroad car filled with lime jello for one because that stuff is expensive in that amount even if you shop for the specials at WalMart.
I remember Herb pretty well, actually. Great guy once you got past the body odor and the disagreeable skin condition exacerbated by the parasitic infestation. He came over to us from a place called Despotic Underground looking for ideological congeniality. Alas, a lifetime membership in the Brady Campaign probably doomed the relationship from the start. We gave him a rousing sendoff, though, and raised a few bucks for his widow, who seemed a little eerily happy at the prospect of her new life based on an old insurance policy. Closed casket ceremony, though. The EPA insisted.
Ah, those were the good days on FR! The sweet days, the halcyon days, the days of Ash and Eschoir and BatJack and Toiletman. The days of dire conspiracies from Rivero, of cryptic pronunciamentos from Quidam, of dark alerts from Don Morgan, of bleary, tequila-fueled polemics from A+Bert. Alas, they are no more, and we must renew our search for the next generation of luminaries. I have some nominations. Some of them will post to this thread. ;-)
