Twitter has ruthlessly mocked Starbucks campaign for the company's new anti-racism campaign in which baristas talk to customers about race issues while serving their coffee. One user tweeted, 'I don't have time to explain 400 years of oppression to you & still make my train', while another pointed out, 'y'all realize there are no coloured hands in the press photos right'. A third speculated, 'maybe Starbucks actually wanted to get people of all races & ethnicities to join hands and make fun'.

Are they just wanting to lose business?
They should stick to just selling coffee.
My thanks to any black person who helped build the country. But many black people swallow whole the most absurd bunkum given to them by the scoundrels who profess to be their leaders.
This lot at Starbuck's, for instance, and this chap Elon Musk, have gone off in a completely different direction.
Firebombs for all, say I. (metaphorically, of course)
This was an ad campaign designed prior to 9/11 that no one in management had enough common sense to pull before it was released. Unfortunately the artwork emphasized two very tall beverage containers (two flavors were being promoted), in addition to the ‘Collapse’ meme.
That lyric about Henry being true to his lady?
Not so much! ;)
The absolute best comment from the UK Mail website story (and I read hundreds) was, “The CEO wants their employees to write a two word slogan on their cups. Well, I have two words for them also.”
do it
“SBX at least acknowledges there are many different kinds of beans, roasts...”
As long as it has caffeine in it, who cares?
You can get a decent cup of coffee anywhere. Getting foo-foo will cost you more...and come with an idiot white guy’s lecture on race!
“As long as it has caffeine in it, who cares?”
I care. Obviously you’ve never had a _good_ cup of coffee. I mean artisan good, top quality small batch beans, roasted with care, and brewed with optimal ratios at the correct temperature in a quality single serving brewer. Black & bitter with caffeine isn’t worth drinking.
Yeah, I gather you care about foo-foo coffee. America wasn’t built on foo-foo coffee, nor do real men drink it.
Oh well.
who wants to go to ANY store/merchant for a lecture that is based on attacking you for something you never did.
Dude! No Technivorm? And you have 16 coffee makers?!
Technivorm? Looks good, but at $300 and the excellence of my Hario DA-1 single cup brewer I’ll wait for the just announced KitchenAid Siphon 10 cup brewer. Conical drip with controlled water heating is good, but the same heating with siphon is better.
