A lot of gun buying is a fantasy by the purchasers. There is no effectively organized resistance. Each gun buyer will find himself an isolated little atom without support easily destroyed. Years of highly intelligent propaganda eternally repeated has destroyed white will to resist. It is possible effective resistance could come into being, but not probable.

American and Russian military misadventures in the ‘Stans’ came to a common end, as the Western militaries, unwilling to accept the challenges of Fourth Generation Warfare, were bled white and eventually defeated.
IMHO, 40,000,000 to perhaps 60,000,000 shooters, all armed with rifles, is the sum and substance of military nightmares.
