I always carry two cans of STERNO and matches in my survival kit. Just in case. Plumber’s candles also work. You would be surprised how much heat a small candle can put out.

Plumber’s candles also work. You would be surprised how much heat a small candle can put out. Excellent advice. I keep a few of them in the trunk of my car, along with a large pan. I'd burn the candles in the middle of the pan (less of a fire hazard).
