As long as it didn’t skid off into the Hudson River.

Fox is on this. It appears to be a slow news day because La Guardia is the oldest airport around with the shortest runways. Airport is now closed, plane is not in danger of explosion. end of breaking news, now back to Jodi whoever, the gal who killed her husband and is awaiting sentencing, and finally those pesky emails that may or may not be available from the private files of Hillary. OH, it's snowing in the north east and Generalissimo Franco is still dead.

Nose isn’t that messed up, so it likely didn’t hit that berm going very fast. Gear likely lifted it up on the berm, before it failed.

Lucky folks.

Which airport is it where an errant takeoff can land you into the Hudson?

Generalissimo Franco is still dead

Still? After all this time? Well maybe he'll snap out of it one of these days.

“Which airport is it where an errant takeoff can land you into the Hudson?”

Both of LaGuardia’s runway’s.
Per Airliners, this is off of runway 13, which means it was landing from the west. The East Bay is on the other side of that berm.

It couldn’t have been going very fast when they lost control. Can’t really tell from the Instagram that CNN keeps showing, over and over, where along the runway it went off, so we don’t know if it slid off to the side, or didn’t make the turn and slid off the end.

Was watching it live on Fox. That airport must be asleep. Passengers were walking in the snow from the plane to the concourse because no one sent a bus to help the passengers.

This isn’t the first time this kind of thing has happened at LGA.

Sounds like they exited the runway to the left, slid through the snow until the left wing caught in the fence, on top of the berm, which turned it left.

VERY LUCKY.
