Businesses fail all the time. Investors in businesses assume the risk. That's what it's all about. It's a gamble. Sometimes you win big. Often you lose.

The state of Rhode Island had no business using taxpayer money to invest in a business. Leave that to the venture capitalists, who know what they are doing and are able to assume the risk.
