Oh yeah? My Jack Scnauzer mix used to remember where he saw all the squirrels. We had to check out those spots every time I walked him.

He also looked upward into the trees to find them.

Let's not confuse complete loyalty and a willingness to forgive with a lack of memory.

My dog has responded with............."If humans have such a good memory and keen ability to plan for what's ahead, why do they keep making such stupid choices?" = Rose, the red heeler

I had a Cocker that did that, and if they moved to a different tree the next time he would skip the first and go to the different one.

My basset, Georgie, hid a milk bone dog biscuit when we were packing the car to visit in laws for 2 weeks. We took our dogs with us and when we returned, I opened the door to let the dogs into the house and Georgie immediately ran upstairs to get the biscuit he hid in my husband’s shoe.

They remember.

Our golden retreivers remember places we haven’t for a year at a time, so I don’t buy the whole they don’t remember. We have a boat and after being away from it for four or five months, they hop out of the car when we get to the marina and walk down the dock and hop on the boat like it was yesterday.
