Our second feature tonight is the incredible but true story of the youngest American serviceman to serve in WW2. Rick Schroeder stars as Calvin Graham, who enlists in the Navy at just 12 years of age. Before his 13th birthday, Graham would be both a decorated veteran and a military prisoner...

Pretty well done tv movie. Like most tv movies, it takes a few liberties with the facts (i.e. the circumstances surrounding his AWOL charge). Schroeder is compelling in the role, though, and it's pretty amazing to imagine a 12 year old kid being that brave in battle. 6.75/10.

BTW2, interesting political connection: The lieutenant in charge of Graham's gunnery section aboard the South Dakota was Sargent Shriver.
