Oh ... and by the way ... that “ending” that was put in the original movie theater version of Blade Runner, is something that Ridley said he would not have put in there! But, at that time, he didn’t have control over it. And in the later Director’s Cut, he made his changes to “the way it should have been”.
Hmmm ... I didn’t see that. In other words, it wasn’t very “clear” to me ... :-) ...
Maybe I’ve watched it too many times.
I found it ABSOLUTELY FASCINATING, especially the way we’re going with making “life” like that. Those questions raised in the movie, would be the ones that would have to wind its way through our future legal system in determining that either these replicants were actually human, or they are something different from human. That, in and of itself, raises the question of “What makes this kind of biological organism ‘human’ in order to make that kind of determination?”
That question and in light of Genesis 6 and the Worldwide Flood along with the “hybrids” that were there during that time, and subsequently destroyed by God in this Worldwide Flood ... makes it all the more interesting.
I’ll go over it again, and see what I can see this time around ... :-) ...

I doubt humanity will ever have to deal with that question.
God will step into history again before we get that far.
That’s assuming there was a replicant, based on Ford’s character. I’m not convinced that was the case in this storyline. But, I don’t need to really go into it here, as we’ll see from how the storyline turns out in the coming sequel/
Perhaps it will be a “Prequel” and not a sequel. That seems to be a favorite of some movie makers. And a Prequel would help answer a lot of questions.
The hybrids of Genesis 6 were actually there ... so these sorts of beings could show up again, even though they will be dealt with by God. The Tribulation Time will probably be a very WILD and CRAZY time, with some things never having been seen by mankind before.
If they did that ... it would be a “Prequel” then ... and I think a Prequel would be where they should go anyway.
Maybe ... as a “base stock” for replicants ... you know, totally useless non-thinking humans ... LOL ...

I’ll be anxious to see the new film, but we probably won’t see it at the theaters until 2018. I hope I’m still alive by then, or else, they could make me into an replicant and I could see it then ... :-) ...
I’m afraid not ... I’m not in that “Hollyweird” crowd and I very much like Harrison Ford in Star Wars, Radiers of the Lost Ark and Blade Runner, plus a few others.
He’s a great actor!
I don’t think so, from what I read in the article. It said the movie picks up a couple of decades after the end of Blade Runner. That would fit Harrison Ford’s age perfectly.
I take it that you would not want the Special Edition, Five Disc Set ... huh? ... LOL ...
That character is dead ... and since they say the movie takes place two decades after the ending of Blade Runner, that would mean he’s just as dead in that sequel ... :-) ...

‘I sent him this (script) and he said, ‘Wow, this is the best thing I’ve ever read,’ so it’s very relevant to what happened (in) the first one.’
But they are replicants. You can make lots of copies..................
