I thought “Willie and the Po’ boys” were “Willie and the Pope boys”, like they were brothers and their last name was “Pope”. I also thought that the lyrics went “Down on the corner, howdy in the street”, instead of “out in the street”. I imagined a bunch of country folks walking around the street saying “howdy” to each other :)

In the pre-Vatican Mass I remember as a kid hearing the words, "E cum Spitit tu tuo," and thinking that the Holy Spirit was 220 years old.

But, then they said He was an eternal spirit.

Holy Conundrum.
