While the Catholic adoption agencies were charitable non-profit organizations, the so-called "accommodation law" as applied to privately owned for-profit businesses has been used and abused with a view to depriving people of their First Amendment right to freedom of religion and the practice thereof.
It is not "equal protection under the law" if you have to park your religious beliefs outside the doors of your privately-owned place of business in order to do business.
It is not "equal protection under the law" if one is required to "wear the mark of the beast" (in his beliefs and/or actions) in order to privately "buy or sell."
