I looked at the picture. It is a piece of jewelry, probably gold plated. If the wearer is allergic to the underlying metal, probably zinc̣ (pot metal) or copper and I am allergic to both, it would have the visible reaction. I did jewelery repair in my youth and one thing I was able to do is remove rings from swollen up fingers. There is a tool for it and a tiny saw wheel if the remover can't be used. It is not difficult.
