Here's an excerpt from this link

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>....The Lawler vs. Kaufman feud was really the first time that wrestling expanded beyond its small territories and entered the public consciousness.

The lengths that Lawler and Kaufman went to in order to preserve kayfabe was impressive as well. Most thought that the Lawler vs. Kaufman feud was legitimate for many years and it wasn't revealed until 10 years after Kaufman's untimely death from lung cancer that Lawler and Kaufman were actually friends who were simply putting on a show.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Lawler used a pile driver. The move gives the appearance of being dropped on your head. If properly executed, no harm will result. If improperly executed, serious injury and even death can result.

The late Owen Hart nearly ended the career of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin when he improperly executed a pile driver on Austin. As I recall, Austin sustained what the wrestlers call a "stinger", and was out of action for quite a while after that match.
