I believe the calculus is more along the lines of 100 MM women saying to themselves “I am not willing to say/admit I did not see it”. So it doesn’t matter what a piece of glud it is. It is that issue of Cosmo/People/Us in the supermarket checkout line that infallibly extracts dollars from the curious when the more detached mind thinks “and you would pay money for that?”
