David Burge @iowahawkblog And seriously, reporters, what's up with this "the Prophet Mohammed" business? Would you ever use "the Savior Jesus Christ" in a story?
Good point.
Thank you. Was wondering the same thing.
Mohammad duh Klown doesn’t seem Inappropriate....
When reporters use the name Jesus Christ, or refer to Siddhārtha Gautama as Buddha, they're not doing so in veneration, or to placate Christians or Buddhists who might be reading that story.
If anything, they're ignorant of the significance of those terms.
The "prophet" honorific is done specifically to kowtow to Muslims and their politically correct enablers.
That’s easy. People for whom Jesus Christ is their savior won’t kill you for not honoring him when you utter his name. The followers of Muhammad will.
They will call fundamentalist Christians bible-thumping, bitter-clinger, homophobic, right wing extremists, but will never call out the murdering muslims. Cowards.
Just as media reporters describe the Resurrection on Easter, the proper reference would be “Mr. Mohammed, whom the Muslims believe was a prophet.”
Good question. Thanks for bringing it up. Why not Islam’s prophet?
Another question: Why do so many conservative sites always open to a full-screen photo of Obama’s face?
We should persuade such sites to show his back only, since he has turned his back on us.
Be a lot less creepy.

I have pointed this out for years, even in letters to the editor and on blogs...muhammed prophecied NOTHING!!
A talking head on Fox News just used the term “prophet muhammed” when reporting about the shooting in Denmark. I cursed at him and went outside.
Two things.
Reporters are scared to death of muslims.
There a a bazillion Mohammeds in the phone book. Since the founder of islam has no apparent surname, a descriptive title must be added for clarity.
I suggest Mohammed the Scumbag.
Satan’s Prophet Muhammad.
Since about a third of Muslim males are named Muhammad or one of the umpteen spelling variants of it, it is necessary to distinguish to which one you are referring.
“Obama” has also stated, unequivocally, that Islam was “revealed,” and he has referred repeatedly to “Holy Quran.” (Careful to trill the R.) Presidents (including “Obama”) have always been careful to speak about Christianity as a religion believed in by many or most Americans, but rarely as one that is unequivocally true.
“News” reporters take the POSITION that there is a right to abortion. Since the NYT decreed it around 1990, they refer to supporters of “abortion rights” and opponents of “abortion rights.”
“Abortion rights,” that is, are an OBJECTIVE REALITY, according to “reporters,” not just editorial writers.
