In order for me to instal an update on my Ipone 5, I have to delete all pictures, texts and apps. It is the only way to “make room” for the update.
Forget it. I did it once and now can’t get some of the apps back.
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Your apps should be on the apps store under "purchased", just re-download them. You already downloaded them once before, so they will be under the "not on this phone" tab.
Oh, forget to mention, if the apps are over 100MB in size, you will have to be connected to WIFI to re-download them.
If you use iTunes on a computer to update, you don't have to do any of that.
To get your apps back, you go to the App Store, click on the “purchased” button on the bottom, and you can reload them from there. There’s no cost for reloading them.
AND ... if you don’t want to clear any space, just go to your iTunes program on your computer, hook up the iPhone to it, and load the new version from the iTunes program. Your computer storage space will be used and not space on your iPhone.
You can also speed up app installation by connecting via USB to a Mac or PC running iTunes. That will also give you the ability to backup your phone to the Mac or PC.
I’d like to find the programmer who thinks it’s a good idea to start playing music from iTunes the moment your phone connects to your car and punch him/her in the nose. I had this problem with all the iOS versions on my iPhone 3 and 4S which were wired, but NOT the first few months I owned an iPhone. Didn’t happen. Then the OS changed. Not my radio, the OS. My iTunes playlist would start up right after I plugged in the phone. Then I got an iPhone 5S and a new car, new radio, and the problem stopped. I could connect via BlueTooth, listen to internet radio, talk on the phone, or listen to AM or FM while waiting for a call. This last OS upgrade? It’s back. That programmer must have been working for MS for a while, screwing up THEIR software. Now he’s back at Apple. So my phone used to start alphabetically with Joe Pass’ Aaron’s Song. Every time. I don’t WANT the iPhone to play ANYTHING when I connect with it though bluetooth, but it does, picking something at random. Sometimes, now, I’m listening to Radiobob.de and in the middle of a song, iTunes comes back on. I’ve checked settings. I’ve read the manuals. I’ve even gone into the Apple help forums, I’ve asked a “genius” at one of their stores, I’ve asked the radio manufacturer, you know who gets the blame? No one TAKES it, but they’re happy to place it at the feet of someone else. I don’t like this. I’ve decided I’m going with an Android phone next unless the problem goes away.
I saw a woman talking at her iPhone 6 the other day , it was bigger than her and man was she loud
M4L ipad
Can’t you do it with iTunes?
I’d like to find that guy and the guy who decided that with the speaker turned off video’s keep blaring.
Here is my review of Apple.

Click on 1 month then 6 month to see the charts. $109 to 126+ this past month. I bought the stock back in April 2014 just before the 7-1 stock split.
I still cannot afford to buy a Apple pc but maybe one day...... : )
Not true. Connect your phone to your computer and update with iTunes. No need to delete anything
Here is the place where Apple listens to what the customer wants ...
Apple Product Feedback
https://www.apple.com/feedback/
For example, Apple restored the “Camera Roll” in iOS 8, as a result of “Feedback” from customers!
I’ve done all the updates that Apple has provided, except for one ... on iOS 8 ... and with every update, it’s gone well (no problems) and that’s with the updates done “over the air” (i.e., not on iTunes).
It doesn’t do that on my car. . . Check your channels on your system. If my stereo system auxiliary is set to the Bluetooth/iPhone, then it will connect and start playing. If it isn’t, it won’t.
Some people are idiots. . . and rude.
I must admit, that nice, big iPhone 6 Plus looks pretty dang sweet.
