Well, all I can say is Congratulations on handling your finances so well! You are one of a very few you know...
Seems that it really does not matter what you do as you will handle the situation well. Most of my comments were directed to those that are not like you. Congratulations on handling your Credit Card finances (and most probably all of your finances), On of a very few I’d guess!
Most of us learn as we get older (unfortunately), sometimes the youngsters teach us things. Of course, don’t know your age but you do seem to be knowledgeable about the problems with credit cards. Good for you!
I can get into BofA. I can help you. Just give me your credit card and bank account information.
Translation: we’re being hacked. Like everyone else. But no worries, all the gigantic klugy digitally duck-taped financial and healthcare systems you have no choice about using are totally secure. We say so.
Too big to fail.
nyuk nyuk nyuk. :)
I am actually double paying it and when paid back I will close it outright.
Smart move... Been there and done what you are doing and it is really nice to be debt free! You want to keep a credit card though, not just for emergencies, but for internet purchases (they seem to be all the rage these days - heh).
That does not mean that you go in debt though, it is for convenience and price differential only. You pay them off every month. Good luck!
Yeah I will probably open a new account with another bank right before closing this account.
Bank of America is the bank I love to hate. They bought out MBNA, which had been an excellent bank. Then they bought out that company with a bad mortgage portfolio, which destroyed BOA
But lately they surprise me. As far as savings accounts and customer reps on the phone and record keeping, they're quite reliable.
Many of us who use Comcast/Infinity and IE have problems logging on to our bank’s system/site.
A younger relative advise me months ago to use Google Chrome.
That works quickly.
IE causes problems with Amazon, PGE, and other sites re getting on and doing business. There is zero problem w/Chrome.
